Hangin' With Tommy Hawk!
On Sunday, the NDS and IOC teams were out and about downtown Naperville passing out treats to all the little trick-or-treaters. They were so cute – there was a Dorthy and a Lego and Buzz Lightyear. I loved seeing all the original costumes – SO creative! We must have gone through all our treats – there were so many people. It was a blast!
My favorite part was running into friends and clients – And my family was out too which was Great! I love it when we can do things together! Tommy Hawk – who is the official Blackhawks mascot – came out which was really fun! It was funny seeing the reactions from the kids meeting Tommy: Shock, Awe, Hugs, High Fives ~ Really cute. He’s a great sport too and so fun… He kept munching on people’s heads and because he’s so tall, he could get the parents too… Good times…!
More events coming up in the future too … So If you’re reading this and you missed Trick-or-Treating, we will hope to see you in December for our next open house!! Keep checking in!

INNOVATIVE ORTHODONTIC CENTERS WINS PACC BUSINESS AWARD
Practice Almost Doubles Business Growth in One Year
Plainfield, IL (June, 2009) On Friday, June 19th, Dr. Manal Ibrahim and Innovative Orthodontic Centers won the Plainfield Area Chamber of Commerce Business Achievement Award. The Annual Awards Dinner which was held at the Bolingbrook Golf Club.
“Thanks to my staff and all of their amazing daily efforts,” says Dr. Ibrahim, “It is amazing that Innovative Orthodontic Centers won the Business Achievement Award. I couldn’t have done it without their support and hard work!”
There were five categories in which businesses were nominated:
- Jan Sebby Advocate of the Year Award – The individual who has demonstrated a high level of leadership and involvement in promoting and advancing the goals of the chamber.
- The Wayne Perry Community Service Award – The organization that demonstrates active and continual volunteer service to the community.
- Business Achievement Award – The business that has realized significant growth and exceptional profit improvement within the past year.
- Small Business of the Year Award – The small business (fewer than 10 employees) that has accomplished significant growth and exceptional profit improvement.
- New Business Award – The business that has been operating for less than two years and has achieved business growth and has made significant contributions to the chamber and the community.
“I cannot think of another company that was more deserving,” said Liz Collins, President and CEO of the Plainfield Area Chamber of Commerce.
Dr. Manal Ibrahim started Innovative Orthodontic Centers with zero patients in three locations within an 18 month period. The gross sales of the practice were at 2.2M by 2008 year-end and have continued to grow at the same rate to date. Currently employing 17 staff members, we are adding more every day. The Plainfield/Joliet location production jumped from 440,000 to 1,152,000 from 2007 to 2008.
This is the second year in a row that Innovative Orthodontic Centers has been awarded from the Plainfield Area Chamber of Commerce.
